Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are now open and can shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the subsequent requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home that has a combined gross home income that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined household revenue would not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South here African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants read more are reminded to deliver the proper Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to research in a general public my nsfas university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
